– California, Los Angeles**Job Summary**AECOM is seeking an Environmental Planner III to be based in our Los Angeles, CA office.Responsibilities include but not limited to the following:+ Management and/or preparation of California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) documentation, including Categorical Exemptions, Initial Studies, Mitigated Negative Declarations, and Environment Impact Reports.+ Project management including development and tracking schedules, and coordination with technical staff.+ Tasks include occasional site visits, research, data collection, and technical writing.+ Assist in supporting marketing pursuits, preparation of proposals, and formulating cost estimates.+ Support senior staff with business development+ Attend and/or present at project and public meetings, and assist in preparing meeting materials and compiling meeting results, including PowerPoint presentations, and other materials.+ Preparation of National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) documentation, including Categorical Exclusions, Environmental Assessments, Findings of No Significant Impacts, and Environment Impact Statement sections.+ Manage small and medium-sized projects and serve as a deputy project manager or task lead on larger, more complex projects.+ Oversee the work of junior staff and mentor others.+ Work directly with clients and subconsultants.**About AECOM**At AECOM, we believe infrastructure creates opportunity for everyone.

We work together across our global network to bring the best resources, skills and efficiencies to our projects.**Minimum Requirements**+ BA/BS in Urban Planning, Environmental Studies, or related field + four years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.**Preferred Qualifications**+ Master’s in Environmental Studies, Urban Planning or related field+ 5+ years’ experience successfully managing and preparing CEQA and NEPA documentation+ Experience as Project Manager or Deputy Manager roles on environmental planning projects+ Experience preparing NEPA and CEQA environmental documents with extensive knowledge of current regulations and guidance+ Understanding of the environmental regulatory framework in California, including applicable state and federal laws.+ Strong individual and collaborative research and analytical abilities+ Strong written and oral communication skills, including the editing, oversight or preparation of technical reports+ Strong organizational skills, database software usage and an ability to work on several projects or issues simultaneously+ Actively participated in management of environmental projects including client interaction, schedule and budget controls, and invoicing**What We Offer**When you join AECOM, you become part of a company that is pioneering the future.
