Risk Process Improvement Team Lead

PROJECT MANAGER – LOS ANGELES, CA
One of our top clients in the Utility Industry is looking for a Risk Process Improvement Team Lead to support their integrity focused process improvement projects. This person will work 100% remote until COVID restrictions lift, then the role will report to the local LA office.

RISK PROCESS IMPROVEMENT TEAM LEAD SKILLS

  • 10+ years of experience in a technical, or techno-functional, role with strong Natural Gas (preferred) or Oil and Gas background
  • Experience supporting projects related to Transmission or Distribution pipelines, storage wells/reservoirs or compressor stations (transmission/distribution preferred)
    • Oil Refineries may be acceptable if focus was on risk assessment/integrity management
  • Integrity Management / Risk Assessment experience (familiar with risk assessment methods, risk register experience, 49CFR 192 subparts O and/or P, etc)
  • Leadership/Supervisory experience – leading others as a PM may be acceptable

RISK PROCESS IMPROVEMENT TEAM LEAD RESPONSIBILITIES

  • This Team Lead will be responsible for leading, advancing, innovating and integrating the Team
  • Will be involved in broader discussions with other leaders in Integrity Management as well as Transmission, Distribution, Storage and Facilities
  • Will participate in meetings regarding the overall state of the risk assessment program and individual team progress within it
  • Help develop a framework for how the group will expand and provide more value to the asset Teams and risk assessment group as a whole
  • Help improve processes around project tracking and documentation
  • Help drive innovation and brainstorm how to better integrate this group within the organization
  • Remain hands on and take ownership of various tasks or step in as project manager on occasion
