Nonprofit Grants Accountant

Growing nonprofit is expanding its accounting department to include an Operational Grants Accountant responsible for internal accounting and grant accountant for the organization.

Responsibilities include:

1.    Perform accounting and financial functions, including budget and expense analysis reconciliations, budget modification and cash flow analysis.
2.    Monitor grant related expenditures, revenue, and budget and report any inconsistencies with the approved budget to the Accounting Supervisor.
3.    Ensure all transactions for programs including all accounts payable and general ledger entries are recorded accurately, making necessary adjustments if needed. 
4.    Prepare program’s annual budgets, having developed a complete understanding of funding sources requirements, operational requirements, cost to enrollment model, allowable costs and in-kind or matching contributions.
