Commercial Banking provides financial solutions to businesses with annual sales generally in excess of $5 million. Our business lines are Wells Fargo Commercial Capital, Middle Market Banking, and Treasury Management & Payment Solutions.

Middle Market Banking

  • Services private and public companies with annual sales of $5 million to $2 billion
  • Specialized expertise across industry sectors

The Region Coverage Investor Real Estate Senior Business Relationship Manager serves our customers in a centralized environment/location and provides customer relationship management through convenience channels such as phone and email. Effectively pursues, manages and grows profitable Investor Real Estate account relationships with moderate to complex business needs for businesses up to $50MM in sales size. Ensures the overall success & growth of an assigned portfolio by deepening relationships of existing customers and managing risk. Continually partners with existing customers in order to fully understand their businesses, objectives, strategies, and challenges. Pro-actively assesses their financial needs for the purpose of formulating a business plan and delivering an effective variety of financial products and services in order to help the customer succeed financially. Understands, supports, and may perform effective financial analysis in the areas of credit, cash flow, and collateral. Effectively partners with other Bankers and lines of business to deliver the full complement of Wells Fargo products and services. May structure and complete straight forward secured and unsecured business loans. 

Salary range is determined by the location of the job.

They are accountable for execution of all applicable risk programs (Credit, Market, Financial Crimes, Operational, Regulatory Compliance), which includes effectively following and adhering to applicable Wells Fargo policies and procedures, appropriately fulfilling risk and compliance obligations, timely and effective escalation and remediation of issues, and making sound risk decisions. There is emphasis on proactive monitoring, governance, risk identification and escalation, as well as making sound risk decisions commensurate with the business unit’s risk appetite and all risk and compliance program requirements.

Required Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in one or a combination of the following: business banking, sales, or credit-related experience

  • Knowledge and understanding of investor real estate lending
  • Complex commercial credit underwriting experience
  • Experience building and maintaining relationships with customers, clients, and colleagues
  • Ability to handle information professionally and confidentially
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Basic Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint) skills
  • Customer service focus with the ability to actively listen, elicit information, comprehend customer issues/needs, and recommend solutions
  • Effective organizational, multi tasking, and prioritizing skills
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Portfolio management skills
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy skills
  • Strong prospecting, sales, negotiation, and influence skills
  • Knowledge and understanding of financial products and services
  • A BS/BA degree or higher in business administration, economics, accounting, finance, or other business related field
