HVAC- Territory Sales Manager

The HVAC Territory Sales Manager (TSM) will be responsible for driving Google Nest product sellout and advocacy in a dedicated geographical territory.

TSM will cultivate relationships with HVAC and Electrical contractors, distributors, and Manufacturer Reps to drive strategic initiatives to increased sales and market share of Google Nest products in the Professional (“Pro”) channel.

The TSM will develop a comprehensive approach and sales strategy for their territory.

They will also be responsible for coordinating and leading trainings for contractors and distributor associates at all levels on the Google Nest ecosystem of products.

These trainings may be 1:1 or group settings, formal and informal, in-person and virtual.

Success will be measured on Google Nest product sales, new contractors signed up for the Google Nest Pro program, contractor conversions to the Google Nest line, trainings conducted, and satisfaction scores.

Essential Functions:
Drive sell-out and advocacy by calling on existing and potential HVAC and Electrical contractors in an assigned geography.

TSMs will train on the entire Google ecosystem.

Deliver in-person and virtual presentations to educate contractors/installers on clients’ key product differentiators, messages, promotions, etc.

Lead small and large group training of existing and potential contractors.

Deliver all products training, process training, and other strategic priorities to help drive sales and ultimately customer satisfaction Maintain working knowledge of all products as a subject matter expert and direct questions from contractors/installers related to product issues, allocation and inventory challenges to the client, Manufacturing Reps and internal partners As requested, attend and execute at contractor and distributor events to educate and train on products’ key features and offerings Provide collateral literature, point-of-purchase materials, and other sales tools to assist with generating new sales Use Mosaic systems to submit field data and insights on daily activities.

Provide market-level reporting, including market intelligence, competitive activity, feedback on current market conditions, and opportunities that impact sales and market share.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience Direct HVAC/Elec installer/contractor experience preferred Strategic thinking capabilities Analytical and very comfortable navigating data to derive insights and define strategies High level of competency in using Excel and/or Google suite of products.

Google suite experience preferred Able to grasp technical aspects of Google products and successfully relay the benefits to the customer We seek individuals with proven diligence, perseverance and experience cultivating high-level relationships with key decision-makers.

Proven ability to adapt and thrive in a fast-paced environment while maintaining the highest level of professionalism and integrity.

Ability to schedule/lead/record virtual training and virtual events with minimal support and have adequate space to accommodate.

Proven experience managing and tracking performance against assigned directives and KPIs.

Proven experience collecting and reporting information on competitive product and service offerings to management.

Analytical and very comfortable navigating data to derive insights and define strategies Ability to cultivate strong relationships with contractors and regional field leadership to further collaborate on how best to drive incremental sell-through for the brand.

Ability to coordinate and lead formal/informal training events on product features and benefits within store, market, and virtually.

Ability to work directly with contractor management and team members in a sales-driven environment to identify and execute opportunities to increase advocacy and sell out of products.

Ability to prioritize contractor visits to maximize impact and meet training objectives.

Outstanding organizational skills, attention to detail, and prioritization of tasks.

Superior interpersonal skills to work closely with other team members, sales associates, retail sales management, and clients.

Excellent written communication, verbal communication, and presentation skills.

Travel as needed (hybrid of virtual and overnight travel).
