We’re looking for highly effective Project Manager to join our growing team in Southern California with a solid fundamental background in project management principles, leadership, and domain skills in finance, accounting, supply chain, or manufacturing.
As a critical client-facing role within Avantiico, the Project Manager works extensively with the Delivery Services Team of passionate certified Microsoft experts and the client stakeholders at varying stages of the life cycle.
You will be responsible for leading projects, resource planning, and project profitability in the technology implementations and support of Microsoft Dynamics solutions using Microsoft project management tools and methodologies and industry best practices.
To thrive in this position, the Project Manager must have specialization in one or more feature sets of Dynamics 365/AX solutions to successfully lead projects and clients across various industry verticals, including finance, manufacturing, and supply chain management.
Focusing on regionally based projects, Avantiico strives to give employees a work-life balance.
Regional travel for the Project Manager position is approximately 30-35%, with the remaining time working from a combination of home and one of our Southern California offices.
This position will be based in San Diego, Los Angeles, Irvine, or Temecula California.
Salary commensurate with experience.
Key Responsibilities
Responsible for managing resources utilization, project scope, time, budget and quality Manage client expectations and client relations, and review resource time registrations Facilitate regular project status meetings with clients and teams and prepare documentation Participates in the resource capacity planning session Escalate potential project issues in a timely manner and develop a risk management plan with clients Knowledge of Microsoft tools and project methodologies in implementing Dynamics 365 solutions, including Conference Room Pilot (CRP), Azure DevOps, Life Cycle Services (LCS), and Sure Step Assist with pre-sales activities (proposal response, estimations, presentation, webinar, blog, etc.)
Additional Responsibilities
Serve as a resource in implementing and configuring applications to meet business requirements building on your domain expertise in the capacity of Solution Consultant in the areas of finance, accounting, manufacturing, and supply chain.
Plan and drive project deliverables including assisting with obtaining the required system design documentation information, help drive the drafting of fit-gap and functional requirements and design specifications Plan, drive and oversee system testing, training and deployment activities Plan and drive product demonstrations as well as client proposals demonstrations Provide post implementation and support activities as needed
Skills & Qualifications:
At least five years of project management experience in ERP implementation and consulting At least three years of demonstrated knowledge and experience with managing initiatives for Microsoft Dynamics 365/AX Successful completion of managing and leading one complete full lifecycle Dynamics 365/AX implementation project Ability to organize and lead multiple projects simultaneously Experience managing both onsite and geographically disbursed project consulting teams Experience as a Business Consultant with the domain expertise of one or more feature sets of D365/AX functionality & capabilities, including Finance, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Projects, Analytics, Talent, Customer Engagement, and Retail Bachelor’s Degree with a preference for degrees in Finance, Accounting, or IT related field Over five years of experience working in an advisory role to clients Experience in LCS, Azure DevOps, VSTS, Sure Step, and industry trends to plan and track complex projects Project Management Professional (PMP) and other similar industry-recognized certification including APICS, Microsoft Dynamics 365 certification, or the ability to obtain after joining within 90 days of employment Strong communication, presentation, and proposal development skills
