Chief Operating Officer

The?Chief Operating Officer (COO) serves a critical role in WasteFuel’s (WF) corporate structure and approach. The COO oversees WF’s ongoing operations and procedures. The COO is the company’s?second-in-command and responsible for the efficiency of business.

The goal of the COO position is to secure the functionality of business to drive extensive and sustainable growth.

Responsibilities include:

* Overseeing daily operations of the company and the work of executives
* Design and implement business strategies, plans and procedures
* Set comprehensive goals for performance and growth
* Develop/improve and implement company operational procedures, policies, and standards
* Oversee company operations to insure efficiency, quality and cost-effective management of resources
* Plan, develop, and implement strategies for generating resources and/or revenues for the company
* Lead employees to encourage maximum performance and dedication
* Evaluate performance by analysing and interpreting data and metrics
* Assist CEO in fundraising needs as appropriate
* Manage relationships with external parties/partners and ensure the proper protections are put in place (IP, Legal, Reputation)
* Play a direct role in the selection and hiring of new team members
* Maintain personnel records and establish organizational framework to support employee onboarding/payroll/benefits plan set up, etc.
* Ensure project development activities are operating within time, budget, and financial constraints and milestones are achieved
* Develop and maintain meaningful relationships/partnerships for business growth (waste owners, investors, technology platforms, and project developers)

Minimum Requirements:

* BSc/BA in Business Administration or relevant field; MSc/MBA is a plus
* Proven experience as Chief Operating Office?or relevant role
* Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and strong attention to detail
* Understanding of business functions such as HR, Finance, marketing, etc.
* Demonstrable competency in strategic planning and business development
* Experience in fundraising will be a plus
* Working knowledge of data analysis and performance/operation metrics
* Working knowledge of IT/Business infrastructure and MS Office
* Outstanding organizational and leadership abilities
* Aptitude in decision-making and problem-solving
* Ability to thrive as a leader in a dynamic, start-up environment
* Ability to manage confidential information and situations with efficiency, flexibility and diplomacy
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
