Contract Manager, Business & Legal Affairs

We are looking for a Contract Managerwho will provide comprehensive contract management and legal departmentoperations duties for the company.

Thesuccessful candidate will have exposure across the entire company and workclosely with multiple business units.

This role is ideal for someone who ishighly organized, detailed oriented, excels under pressure and desires toexpand their knowledge base.

Reports : This position will report directlyto the General Counsel and is responsible for supporting the various needs of Business& Legal Affairs department.

Responsibilities : Responsibilities include, but arenot limited to:
Overseeingthe contract in-take process for the entire Business and Legal Affairsdepartment Maintainingand regularly updating department status reports to track a high volume ofcontracts from initial request through execution Managing and controlling the document managementand filing function for all agreements generated by the company Summarizing post-execution agreementterms and inputting data into a database (e.g., payment-related deal terms,expiration dates and deadlines) and effectively communicating the same toexecutives concisely, accurately and in a timely fashion Maintaining corporate books andrecords for multiple entities Handling entity maintenance, cap tablemanagement, entity formation/dissolutions, board and shareholder resolutionsand other corporate maintenance items
Legal Operations:
Managing and tracking the Business andLegal Affairs department’s annual budget Reviewing and processing invoices fromoutside counsel and tracking the same against a budget Overseeing procurement, implementation and training of all legaldepartment software Handling other projects as needed
Basic Qualifications:
5-7 years of related experience in a law firm or in-house legaldepartment required High proficiency with Outlook, Word,Excel (must be particularly comfortable and savvy with Excel), PowerPoint andinternet software

Self-starter with strong communicationskills both written and oral Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to interface withcolleagues and senior management Strong ability to work independently and to contribute as acollaborative member of a team, with an interest in learning and developing newprocesses Extremely organized and detailoriented with the ability to manage confidential, high priority projects Abilityto multi-task and prioritizemultiple projects with different levels of importance and urgency Basic accounting skills and excellentanalytical skills Creative problem-solving capabilities Flexibility (things move fast here) Sense of humor (because life is too short)
