Our client in the Banking and insurance industry is seeking an experienced Senior Regulatory Accountant to join our growing team.
This is a very important role in our accounting and finance department that will report to the Regulatory Accounting Manager.
Job Description
Accurately compile regulatory filings Prepare daily and monthly reports and schedules to support regulatory and accounting processes Effectively work with internal and external financial and regulatory auditors Interact and work with various departments within the firm to reconcile differences and calculate pieces critical to the financial statements and regulatory reports Analyze reconciliation results between GL and transactional data, identify issues, and provide resolution Performs other duties as required and assigned
Requirements
Experience in the financial services, banking or related industries FINRA Series 27 license preferred Strong knowledge of GAAP Proficient with the Microsoft Office Suite, including strong Excel skills Strong analytical, problem-solving and organization skills Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills Able to communicate with professionals at all levels Able to work independently and take initiative Able to adapt to changing priorities Able to work on multiple projects with accuracy and efficiency, while keeping to deadlines Detail-oriented A team player Strong work ethic
Experience
Bachelor’s degree in business, economics, accounting, finance or related field and a minimum of 4 years’ relevant experience REF # 37053
