Director of Accounting and Finance

The Director of Accounting and Finance reports to the Chief Executive Officer and is a member of the Executive Team. They will be responsible for the oversight of all finance, accounting and reporting activities.

The Director of Accounting and Finance is a team leader who can provide timely and accurate financial data and analysis, including financial statements, budgets, trend analysis and billing reports, and who can develop a staff. The Director will lead all day-to-day accounting and finance operations and supervise a team of 7 staff members. He/She will ensure systems and procedures are in place to support effective program implementation and flawless audits. The Director will work closely with directors and their staff, not only to educate them regarding finance and accounting procedures, but also to explore how the finance function can support program operations. Solid experience coordinating, managing and reporting budget development and analysis, accounts payable/cash disbursements and billings and receivables, general ledger, payroll, and accounting for investments. In addition to overseeing accounting and finance, the Director will oversee accounts receivable/payables, payroll, information technology, and grants administration.

Job Requirements:

Education

CPA and/or MBA preferred with seven to ten years nonprofit leadership experience.
