Empire Today’s Market Operations team is an integral part of our company’s business strategy and include local personnel managing warehouses, product receipt and distribution, customer service, full life cycle of customer orders, and installation management. This enables installers to deliver upon our commitment to our customers and support the success of Empire Today.
Responsibilities
The DC/IW Lead will be responsible for coordination of all tasks being completed between the DC and the collocated IW that will lead to the successful picking, loading and close-out of all jobs and will account for the successful inventory management between the IW and the DC.
- Scrub TO list for all with today’s ship date. Any that have todays date but not picked/shipped get pushed back to the DC team immediately
- Receive in all TOs.
- Identify any short ship or other changes to TOs and ensure those are on a list for the IW team to update the SO.
- Review 15 IW stocked items plus padding to ensure all are at targeted levels.
- Walk the floor to check that all orders are staged.
- Meet with the IW team to complete the work found during pre-load check
- Works with install team at dock door to assist with loading
- Processes TOs from DC to collocated IW for any add on materials
- Manages the return process to ensure that all returns are going to return holding area and are tagged with LPs.
- Monitors load out to ensure SOs are systemically loaded and not just physically loaded
- Sweeps all returns from holding area to their appropriate disposition
- Checks stock of IW items vs min/max levels, and ensures “Planned TOs” are in the queue as required for replenishment
- Cycle counts of stock within the IW
Qualifications
The successful candidate will possess:
- High School Diploma/GED required, Associates or bachelor’s degree in Operations Management preferred
- Computer skills (MS Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook,)
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Detail oriented
- Excellent organization skills
- Ability to multi-task; strong analytical skills
- Ability to work independently; and ability to set priorities, solve problems and meet deadlines.
- Self-starter, action oriented, problem resolution focused approach and personality
- Ability to work a variety of shifts including weekends if necessary
- Ability to operate a forklift, scissor lift and other equipment as necessary
