LAN / WAN Administrator

LAN Systems/Network Administrator – ONSITE
Los Angeles, CA – Must be open to travel in Los Angeles 
(Contract or Contract-to-hire)
 
Responsibilities:

  • Administer, installs, repair, and maintain wide area network hardware and software.
  • Provide support to servers, terminals, peripherals, network nodes, wiring, Wi-Fi and ISPs.
  • Perform analysis of network needs and contributes to design of network architecture, integration, and installation.
  • Evaluates wide area network hardware and software requirements and capabilities and makes recommendations.
  • Coordinate installation of hardware and software by third-party vendors.
  • Troubleshoot and maintain network stability.
  • Maintain Wi-Fi Systems in all company locations.
  • Travel from site to site, about 70% of the time

Requirements:

  • Solid knowledge of Microsoft Windows platforms (including Server and Client systems).
  • Deskside support capabilities are highly desired.
  • Troubleshooting capabilities within a LAN environment
  • Experience with various types of computer hardware and software systems.
  • Extensive knowledge of networking protocols and support of office Wi-Fi systems.
  • Basic experience with Cisco Switch/Routing protocols is a plus.
  • Willing to provide personal vehicle to travel to multiple sites around Los Angeles County
  • Strong customer service skills and support at the Tier II level
