We”re looking for a highly qualified Women”s Design Director to join our Design Team!Day to day:Direct report to VP of Product & Design.Lead conceptual development for the Buck Mason women”s collection.Conduct research for seasonal concepts.Manage calendar and category design leads.Attend fittings and work with design leads to execute garment and fit intent.Work with marketing and creative team to execute concept and vision for seasonal launches.Qualifications:10+ years womenswear design and concept experience.Expert knowledge of American vintage, fashion, and current trend.Expert knowledge of garment fabrication, make, and processing.Expert ability to present and communicate seasonal ideas to leadership team.Expert knowledge of Adobe Suite.You Are:Highly motivated & entrepreneurial.Highly Creative.Concept driven.Energetic.Detail Oriented.Hard working.Buck Mason designs updated, modern American classics for daily wear.
Founded in 2013 by Sasha Koehn and Erik Allen, who were neighbors in Venice, California, they initially set up shop in a 350 square foot garage off Abbot Kinney Boulevard.
Using old school manufacturing techniques combined with modern technology, they took an architectural approach to product with the goal of making fashion less complicated, building each piece to last beyond a single season.
Much of their product is made in the USA, where you can often find Sasha and Erik on the factory floor.
