Role 70 Interaction Designer 20 Visual Designer 10 Usability ResearcherTester ——————————— 100 Innovator Leader Responsibilities bull Create Sketches, Wireframes Interactive Prototypes bull Lead DesignWhiteboard Sessions bull Create Visual Designs and Specs bull Conduct User Research and Testing to validate user-centered design decisions bull Contribute to the Style Guidedesign system bull Perform design reviews on interfaces built against design specs bull Other (information architecture, task flows, mockups, etc.) Requirements Must have experience working as a UXUI Designer, Interaction Designer (or closely related field) in the design of heavily transactional web, desktop, andor mobile applications. bull Solid understanding of user-centered design methods and usability principles. bull Excellent written and verbal communication skills. bull Excellent facilitation skills and ability to effectively lead whiteboard design sessions. bull Effective negotiator, enthusiastic team player, and able to resolve conflicts. bull Attentive to details while successfully juggling multiple assignments and competing priorities. bull Proficiency with Sketch and Adobe Creative Suite or similar tools. Axure is a plus. bull Solid understanding of the technical implications of your designs. Knowledge of HTML, CSS is a plus. bull Knowledge of user research methods, including lab-based usability studies, field studies, and usability inspections (heuristic evaluations or cognitive walkthroughs). bull A hearty thirst and enthusiasm for UX knowledge, trends, sharing and banter. Additional Skills Qualifications bull Heavy interaction visual design skills bull Will also help with design systems (ongoing for the group) bull Needs product design empathy as they will have heavy communication with product and dev. There will be compromises to make due to limitations in technology so must be nimble in that sense in terms of how to solve challenges for the business users considering various factors. bull Don’t want a UX police – need a team player.
