Country:United StatesCities:Los Angeles, Salt Lake City, San Francisco, San Jose, SeattleArea of expertise:Corporate FunctionsJob DescriptionAs the Account Operations Lead for the Microsoft Account, you will be part of a team focused on one of the largest and most strategic global accounts within Avanade.  In this position you will provide strong leadership and management of Account business operations, focusing on the development and execution of processes and implementation of change initiatives that improve operational efficiency and profitability.

With joint accountability to the Account Executive and Regional DOO, you will work with regional and Account domain leads to develop strategies and ensure compliance with all Avanade policies and internal controls.

This is a hands-on, constantly evolving role with our growing business requiring detailed involvement in the business operations, championing the strategic direction of the business as well as effectively directing others.Day-to-day, you will:Support the Microsoft Account Executive in the day to day functions of the account and sponsor/own strategic projectsTranslate Account business priorities into operational tactics that direct the business to achieve financial and strategic goals  Implement operational strategy within the Account, partnering with Regional leadership to ensure the execution of consistent operational processes  Participate with Account and regional leadership in formulating current and long-range strategies, objectives, and special projectsOwn and execute Account business operations, partnering with Finance, HR, Sales, and other stakeholder groups to ensure the smooth running of the businessServe as escalation point for operational issues Responsible for the coordination and integration between other Business Operations teams, such as Scheduling, Resource Operations, Deal Management, and Accenture’s business operations team on the accountLead communication/change management activities on the Account as needed to minimize business disruptionYour technical and non-technical skills include:Experience developing and managing an organization’s operations to meet business objectives and strategiesProven ability to coordinate complicated processes across functional areasDemonstrated managerial and leadership experienceStrong written and verbal communicationsYou will likely possess a Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in relevant field.

An advanced degree (MBA) is preferred, though not requiredYou will likely have 10-20 years of prior work experience, preferably in consulting or technologyNature of Work: Collaboratively sets strategic objectives with other leaders, and other managers as they deliver against strategic plans; monitors operational effectiveness and intervenes to increase likelihood of success.Scope of Work: Translates high-level strategy into more localized strategy and operational objectives for large-scale and strategically critical workstreams.Complexity: Highly complex problems, often requiring analysis of near-intangible factors, creative solutioning, and significant networking to succeed.

Significant integration of work efforts and inputs are required.Discretion: Authority to establish standards and shift overall direction of projects and programs in response to functional strategy.Scope of Financials: Owns a portion of budget within a given business unit.
