Senior Experience Designer, Diner Domain

Senior Experience Designer, Diner Domain

Here at ChowNow, our Design team is made up of curious thinkers with a passion for making change and impacting our local communities. We’re working on big challenges, with the goal of helping local restaurants survive, thrive, and build relationships with the customers who love them.

As our company enters a new stage of growth, we’re looking for strategic thinkers who can champion and further our culture of human-centered design and innovation.

About the Position:

As a Senior Experience Designer, you will be responsible for weaving together insights and data to drive product innovation and strategy for our Diner audiences. Through human-centered design principles, Experience Designers understand and anticipate pain points + opportunities, frame product strategies, define vision states, and guide teams to MVP launches. The two primary products this role will be focused on are (a.) branded restaurant apps + sites, and (b.) marketplace product app + site. You will work with teams grounded in strong collaboration, impeccable design, and results-driven product development. Key collaborators include Product Managers, Data Analysts, Product Designers, Engineers, and Operations, among others, in pursuit of uncovering near and long-term product opportunities.

Reports to Senior Director of Product Design; No direct reports.

About Us:

ChowNow is unique among tech companies in the restaurant space. We power branded online ordering systems for independent restaurants across North America – via websites, Google, Instagram, and through branded iOS and Android apps – and we do it all for a reasonable monthly fee regardless of order volume. We operate this way because of our belief in being fair, sustainable, and equitable with our restaurant partners. And the same goes for our workplace.

Diversity, teamwork, and mutual respect are among our core company values. And we pride ourselves on giving our teams plenty of opportunities to make their mark. To date we’ve created over 18,000 apps for our restaurant partners – something that’s never been done before in our category. And as we expand to new markets, further spreading the word about the ChowNow difference, those opportunities to create, build, and grow will only increase. If this sounds like the kind of workplace, and the kind of mission, that appeals to you, we’d love to talk.
