Controller – manufacturing experience

Family owned and privately held since the 1960’s, our client is looking for a detail-oriented, enthusiastic member to join our team. The Controller will report directly to the President and act as a key member of the Management Team.Skills:

Responsibilities:

  • Monthly P&L preparation/ Account reconciliation
  • Monthly, Quarterly & Annual reporting to Management and the Advisory Board
  • Oversight of A/P & Payroll
  • Oversight of A/R & Credit Management
  • Cash Management & Treasury
  • Human Resources
  • Workers Comp
  • Group Insurance
  • New Hire Intake
  • Terminations & Leave of Absences
  • Financial Analysis
  • Annual Budget creation & management
  • Budget Control/ Cost Control
  • Oversight of Inventory Control
  • Process review, improvement and maintenance
  • Annual/ Quarterly Sales & Business Tax Preparation
  • Coordination with external auditors, Tax consultants and Banks
  • Supervise and manage direct reports

Requirements:

  • Bachelor degree in Accounting or Finance with Accounting
  • Total of ten years accounting experience including a minimum of 4+ years of cost accounting & inventory control
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Strong analytical, problem solving and organizational skills
  • Demonstrated ability to link and analyze plant operational metrics to financial performance
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Deep understanding of modeling and data analysis.
  • Must be fluent in Excel and/ or Access data extraction, manipulation and analysis
  • Good working knowledge of ERP systems and database management
