Focus on broadening and furthering our outreach strategies for both individual and corporate donors.
Role includes new donor research, cultivation, and securing support while continuing existing donor activities of stewardship and growth.
Special project development and implementation in key areas of fundraising including new campaigns/appeals, and donor programs, as well as general engagement and collaboration for broad organizational initiatives and fundraising projects.nn nn nn nn Donor Research, Outreach, Cultivation, Solicitation, Stewardship: nn Development and execution of plans to increase major individual giving.
Development and execution of plans to increase grass roots/ entry level individual giving.
Research, outreach and cultivation of new corporate donor relationships.
Stewardship of assigned portfolio of existing corporate and individual major donors, including some Board members.
nn nn nn Generally Support the Collective Work of the Team by Assisting With: nn Assist with collaborative team approach to special events planning and management.
Assist with marketing and special outreach initiatives as needed.
Engagement in those activities that intersect with programming staff and internal administration.
Developing proficiency in and use of the JA database system (BCRM).
Temporarily working remotely as required by state and local authorities.

nn nn nn REQUIRED EXPERIENCE/SKILLS: nn 3+ years in non-profit work environment, preferably within a development or fundraising team, understanding of fundraising cycles.
May be substituted with work in sales, account management, relationship development or other prior experiences that hone sense of initiative, innovation, drive and ability to communicate effectively with our existing and potential new donors.
Experience managing your own workload with independent judgement to balance short-term goals with long-range business plans.
Experience that prepares you for working comfortably with JA funders and partners who may be CEO’s or otherwise in executive roles or elite business, philanthropic and community leadership positions.
Ability to use CRM database, Microsoft TEAMS and Outlook actively and productively in daily, regular workflows.
Must be able to lift 25 pounds and work at computer for extended periods of time.
Must have a CA driver license, and have reliable transportation that is California insured, for work-related travel throughout the area when not in pandemic (mileage reimbursed).
Must have reliable internet at home or other safe, remote location, to allow for work arrangements during pandemic.
nn nn nn DESIRED EXPERIENCE: nn 2+ years experience working with a fundraising goal in fast paced small non-profit development fundraising team, or as direct producer in sales or other positions with comparable traits and goal achievement.
Experience with project management, event production, communications and experience with fundraising databases, data entry and data reporting are all a plus.
Experience building rapport, listening well, interacting with and inspiring senior executives and business and philanthropic leaders a plus.
