CLINICAL MANAGER

Position Summary:

Under the direction of the STRTP Regional Director, the STRTP Clinical Program Manager ensures that the mental health treatment provided is consistent with Penny Lane’s philosophy and that the treatment and documentation requirements meet and exceed current standards of quality care as defined by Los Angeles County Department of Mental Health and The Joint Commission. The STRTP Clinical Program Manager ensures efficient operation of the STRTP Clinic Program as well as directly supervising the following staff for their assigned locations: STRTP Therapist, Therapeutic Youth Specialist, Social Worker. The STRTP Clinical Program Manager provides coordination and oversight of treatment activities assigned STRTP. Additionally, the STRTP Clinical Program Manager is responsible to ensure the on-going collaboration with other Penny Lane programs, outside community organizations, and regulatory agencies.

The STRTP Clinical Program Manager makes sound clinical decisions and choices that support excellent clinical service while protecting Penny Lane from liability. The STRTP Clinical Program Manager works well under pressure and maintains the support of their team and staff by promoting and supporting decisions made by the agency. The STRTP Clinical Program Manager is also committed to promote not only independence and personal recovery but also connectedness and community reintegration by ensuring access to resources and individualized mental health services to support recovery and resiliency. The STRTP Clinical Program Manager is a leader committed to creating, collaborating, maintaining and strengthening the partnership necessary to help children and their families to reach their maximum potentials.

The STRTP Clinical Program Manager is a leadership role who takes an active part in ensuring that the treatment provided is consistent with Penny Lane philosophies and meets the current standards for quality of care, medical necessity and other requirements as defined by L.A. County Department of Mental Health. STRTP Clinical Program Manager is accountable for staff development and performance improvement, and for promoting appropriate and effective care through established monitoring systems and professional staff growth.


Position Location: North Hills, CA


Salary Range: $79,040 up to $89,012 per year

  • Minimum of a Master’s Degree in the mental health field and be licensed as a Ph.D., Psy.D., L.M.F.T., or L.C.S.W.
  • Or Psychiatric Registered Nurse.
  • Must have a minimum of 2 years supervisory experience preferably in residential treatment.
  • Advanced working knowledge of behavioral health related to the psychiatric field, community resource development, family, individual and group therapy and developmental diagnosis.
  • Knowledge of crisis management skills. Ability to provide administrative and clinical supervision to mental health and support staff.
  • Valid California driver’s license; current automobile insurance; have and maintain a clean driving record acceptable to the organization’s insurance company; have immediate access to his or her vehicle during work hours.
