– DXT: nn nnDXT’s focus is the integration of novel drugs, novel delivery platforms, and digital medicine into next-generation therapeutic systems.

DXT utilizes digital-era in-silico methodologies such as High-Performance Computing (HPC) for Computer-Assisted Drug Design (CADD), methods of applied statistics such as neural networks, machine learning and artificial intelligence, as well as methodologies to predict the distribution of drugs in the human body.

These approaches will optimize preclinical testing and enable novel methodologies for personalized treatment of various ophthalmology and pulmonary pathologies.

Innovative delivery platforms are a fundamental component of the corporate strategy and include biomaterials and nanotechnologies.nn nn Responsibilities: nn Synthesize, manufacture, and test nanoparticles and microparticles for pulmonary delivery.

Assist in the development of preclinical models for pulmonary diseases, both infectious and fibrotic.

Perform load and release analysis of compound(s) of interest on relevant materials.

Conduct downstream analyses of samples with relevant assays at the bench pertaining to the disease model.

Aid in direction of pulmonary delivery pharmaceutics programs.

Generate new hypotheses and experimental designs, combined with analysis and interpretation of experimental results.

Work in close collaboration with DXT scientists and investigators.

Synthesize results into clear, concise presentations.

Other tasks as assigned.

nn Experience: nn PhD degree in pharmaceutical sciences, biomaterials, or nanomedicine.

Prior experience in lung physiology/pulmonary infections/fibrotic pulmonary disease preferred.

Prior experience in biomolecular modification and formulation of micro
– and nanoparticles for systemic drug delivery.

2-4 years post degree experience in academic or industry setting.

Expertise in different routes of lung administration preferred; nebulized delivery knowledge, a plus.

Ability to understand and analyze data from complex experimental designs.

Ability to work in a cross-functional, team environment to advance programs through translational development.

Manages time effectively demonstrating ability to perform multiple projects at one time.

Desire to work in a fast-paced environment.

Excellent organizational and communication skills, strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
