The Controller will report directly to the VP of Finance & Strategy and should be experienced in all aspects of accounting management, corporate accounting, regulatory and financial reporting, budget & audit related projects. Responsibilities:
- Assist VP of Finance & Strategy with the management of all accounting operations including Billing, A/R, A/P
- Oversee the preparation of the budget and financial forecasts and report variances
- Prepare and publish timely monthly financial statements
- Oversee the preparation of regulatory reporting including annual and periodic program review audits
- Research technical accounting issues for compliance and Controller as needed
- Support month-end and year-end close process
- Ensure quality control over financial transactions and financial reporting
- Manage and comply with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings
- Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls
- Additional controller duties as necessary
Requirements
- Bachelors Degree in Accounting
- 5-7 years of overall combined accounting and finance experience
- Hospitality experience preferred but not required
- Thorough knowledge of accounting principles and procedures
- Experience with financial statement preparation for all types of legal entities
- Experience with general ledger functions and the month-end/year-end close process
- Experience with various accounting software administration ‘” Navision, Hyperion will be helpful
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills and demonstrated ability to communicate effectively.
