Combining a deep understanding of finance, practical knowledge of accounting, and using data to make-and-drive decisions, you will perform various financial planning and analysis and ad hoc projects to support key decisions, drive growth, and ensure financial objectives are achieved.
This includes understanding all financial aspects of the P&L, periodic reporting of financial results, customer behavior and ordering analysis, new product costings and pricing, variance analysis, data consolidation, and special projects.nn nn n nn nnThis role will be part of the finance team, working closely with the Sales team and cross-functionally with marketing, merchandising, supply chain, and accounting to fully understand the business, its customers, and its overall operations.
The ideal candidate has a solid foundation in finance, sales, experience proactively initiating and implementing business performance reporting, and creating or improving complex Excel-based models and analyses.nn nn n nn nn Key Job Responsibilities nn Scale and improve the existing financial foundation, including operating model / P&L and processes, to drive business decision-making and transparency for key decision makers Perform complex analyses using several data systems / sources to create meaningful and effective insights, proposals, visualizations, as well as usable stats Drive the reporting and financial performance management framework for the business and help define key metrics and performance indicators to evaluate overall business performance Partner with Sales and other finance and accounting team members in monthly forecast cycles, working with functional leaders to identify planning assumptions for key business drivers Actively participate in the strategic planning, target setting, and annual planning processes, and perform risk and opportunities analysis versus business outlook Extract and analyze data from central databases using SQL queries Create materials for C-suite and Board consumption nn n nn nn Qualifications nn Finance, Accounting, Business or similar degree required 1+ years of relevant finance experience (corporate finance, consulting, investment banking, FP&A), preferably with an understanding of wholesale and/or retail finance and an understanding of GAAP Superior analytical and modeling skills (building from the ground up), and experience in supporting business case development, forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis Advanced Excel skills (i.e.
VLOOKUP, pivot tables, etc.) to solve complex problems with efficiency Ability to think creatively, self-start, work independently, deal with ambiguity, and meet tight deadlines / prioritize changing workloads Strong written and oral communication skills Familiarity with a wholesale or retail business model, experience with SQL, Tableau, and/or financial reporting systems (Prophet 21) is a plus!
