DescriptionTW Metals is seeking to hire a Warehouse Worker to join our 1st shift team at our Los Angeles, CA location.Responsibilities: Although a material handler may perform any and all warehouse duties, the majority of time is spent pulling material to fill sales orders, weighing and counting such material, writing in the necessary information on a sales order, and packaging the material;+ Pulls material from stock to fill sales orders.+ Weighs or counts such material and writes the necessary information on sales orders.+ Packs material for shipment.+ Performs miscellaneous duties such as department “clean-up”.+ Operates equipment such as cranes, high-lifts, and fork trucks.Requirements:+ High school diploma or general education degree (GED)+ One to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience+ Mechanical ability to function on a forklift/side loader along with a variety of cutting equipment+ Ability to read a tape measure, micrometer, or other measuring devices is required+ Basic math skills are required, the ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide+ Knowledgeable with computers+ Capability to work steadily and independently to complete the assigned tasksPhysical Demands: Physical demands are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
