Job Details
Responsibilities
- Review tax returns for individuals, businesses, estates, and trusts; address complex tax issues and IRS notices.
- Conduct in-depth tax research and provide strategic consulting to clients.
- Oversee multiple client engagements, budgets, and deliverables.
- Support business development by meeting with prospects, preparing proposals, and expanding services.
- Develop client relationships through creative service enhancements and networking.
- Deliver in-house training, write tax-related articles, and participate in industry events.
- Assist with recruiting efforts and mentoring staff.
- Accurately record time and expenses for efficient billing.
- Handle additional responsibilities as assigned.
- Lead and mentor staff, ensuring deadlines and quality standards are met.
- Provide coaching, training, and performance evaluations.
- Plan and manage projects effectively.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Taxation, or Finance (Master’s preferred).
- Active CPA license or Enrolled Agent preferred
- 5+ years of public accounting experience with increasing complexity in tax preparation.
- Proven supervisory experience (minimum two years).
- Exposure to clients in a variety of industries. We are looking for an industry generalist.
