CULTURE OFFICE ANALYST

WHAT IS THE OPPORTUNITY?
As a member of City National’s Colleague Experience team, the Culture Office Analyst is pivotal in fostering a positive and engaging work environment where employees feel valued and motivated. The successful incumbent will develop, implement and manage programs and initiatives that enhance employee engagement and recognition, and heighten employees’ awareness of how to protect City National and its clients, driving a culture of appreciation and continuous improvement. The Culture Office Analyst reports to the Head of Culture and works closely with a wide array of business units across the organization to provide thought-leadership, solutions, content development and overall support to colleagues, people managers and executive leadership related to culture.

WHAT WILL YOU DO?

Develop and Implement Engagement Strategies: Design and execute comprehensive employee engagement strategies that align with the company’s goals and values with heightened attention on risk culture. This includes conducting employee surveys, focus groups and feedback sessions to identify areas of improvement.

Employee Recognition Programs: Create and manage robust employee recognition programs that celebrate achievements, milestones and contributions. This includes developing a range of recognition methods such as awards, appreciation events and peer recognition systems; managing a centralized budget; and maintaining guardrails for appropriate use of monetary and non-monetary rewards.

Center of Excellence: Serve as a liaison to points of contact embedded within all business areas to support engagement and recognition programs. Troubleshoot issues and assist with coordination of division-level recognition activities and tactics.

Training and Development: Collaborate with the Learning and Development team to create and deliver training programs that enhance risk awareness, employee skills, job satisfaction and career growth.

Data Analysis and Reporting: Monitor and analyze employee engagement metrics, including turnover rates, employee satisfaction scores, and participation in engagement activities. Provide regular reports to senior management with insights and recommendations.

Event Coordination: Assist in the planning and coordination of employee events, such as team-building activities, social gatherings, and recognition ceremonies, to foster a sense of community and camaraderie.

Continuous Improvement: Stay current with best practices in employee engagement and recognition. Propose and implement innovative solutions to continually improve employee satisfaction and retention while achieving a culture focused on growth, collaboration and operational excellence.

Must-Have*

 

Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent

4+ years of experience in program management, employee recognition, organizational culture, colleague experience or a related field

Skills and Knowledge

Outstanding interpersonal and influencing skills, with a demonstrated experience in fostering relationships and influencing stakeholders at all levels

Solution-oriented with a client-service mindset

Strong organizational and project management skills; ability to prioritize work, and work within competing deadlines

Must be capable of working well independently and in teams

Ability to prepare accurate, highly detailed work product

Ability to exchange information and to present ideas, report facts and other information clearly and concisely

Excellent verbal, written and editorial skills; able to craft written materials to ensure impact on targeted business

Strong executive presence and communication skills. The ability to create and deliver engaging high-quality executive-level presentations is a must.

Self-starter, comfortable working in an ambiguous environment

Must have a “roll up your sleeves” approach, be highly analytical and forward thinking.

Ability to efficiently perform several tasks concurrently, handle sensitive data with integrity, confidentiality, and the utmost discretion

Intermediate to advanced MS PowerPoint and Excel skills

Experience in financial services or risk culture is a plus

COMPENSATION
Starting base salary: $87,027 – $138,965 per year. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location. This job is eligible for bonus and/or commissions.
