Welder- Level 1 (2nd Shift)

Position Summary:

The Welder Level 1 will work under supervision to perform basic welding tasks on assemblies. They will primarily handle stainless steel and other materials of similar complexity. They are proficient in basic weld operations such as T-joints, Butt-joints, and corner welds. T The entry-level welder will learn to read blueprints and fabricate basic to moderate complexity items on various material types and thicknesses, both in and out of position. Welders will work towards certification for 0.35 up to 0.250 thicknesses and adhere to internal weld specifications.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Weld assemblies of basic to moderate complexity
  • Perform basic TIG welding operations, i.e., T-joints, Butt-joints, and corner welds
  • Assist in reading and interpreting blueprints for welding tasks
  • Adhere to internal weld specifications and quality standards
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment
  • Learn and apply welding techniques and skills as required
  • Collaborate with team members to meet production goals

Required Skills:

  • Basic TIG welding skills on various material types and thicknesses in and out of position
  • Proficiency in basic TIG welding operations, i.e., T-joints, Butt-joints, and corner welds
  • Ability to learn and follow internal weld specifications
  • Strong attention to detail and quality
  • Good communication and teamwork skills
  • Willingness to learn and adapt to new techniques and procedures
  • Ability to pass internal D17.1 weld specifications.
  • Ability to lift to 35lbs.

Required Experience:

  • Previous experience in Aerospace welding is preferred but not required.
  • Basic understanding of welding techniques and tools

Level of Education:

  • Successful completion of basic Welding School
  • GED or High School diploma preferred but not required.

For informational purposes only, this role is eligible to participate in the Company’s Quarterly Cash Bonus Plan, paid out at the quarterly bonus factor of 1X the Company’s bonus multiple, based on the Company’s performance in the applicable quarter .
