Position Overview:

We are currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced Commercial HVAC Service Technician to join our team in Los Angeles, CA. The successful candidate will have a strong local presence, a stable work history, and a minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in diagnosing and repairing a diverse range of commercial HVAC systems. This includes expertise in large rooftop units (RTUs) ranging from 20 to 200+ tons, chillers, boilers, VRFs, and other significant mechanical equipment. Candidates with manufacturer training and certifications from industry leaders such as Johnson Controls, Trane, Carrier, York, Daikin, Mitsubishi, among others, will be given preference.

Responsibilities:

  • Diagnose and repair commercial HVAC systems, including large RTUs (20-200+ tons), chillers, boilers, VRFs, and other substantial mechanical equipment.
  • Perform preventive maintenance tasks to ensure the efficient and reliable operation of HVAC systems.
  • Collaborate with clients to provide technical explanations on system issues and recommend appropriate solutions.
  • Utilize manufacturer training and certifications, with preference given to those from Johnson Controls, Trane, Carrier, York, Daikin, Mitsubishi, among others.
  • Maintain accurate records of service visits, documenting work performed, parts utilized, and any additional recommendations.
  • Work closely with the service dispatch team to prioritize and schedule service calls efficiently.
  • Ensure strict adherence to safety protocols and industry standards during all service visits.
  • Provide training and guidance to junior technicians as necessary.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience as a Commercial HVAC Service Technician.
  • EPA Universal certification is mandatory.
  • Clean driving record with the ability to travel locally within Los Angeles.
  • Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills for various HVAC systems.
  • Manufacturer training and certifications from Johnson Controls, Trane, Carrier, York, Daikin, Mitsubishi, or similar HVAC equipment manufacturers are preferred.
  • Proven ability to handle and repair large RTUs, chillers, boilers, VRFs, and other significant mechanical equipment.
