Job Title: Associate Attorney (Employment Law)

Our client is a plaintiff’s law firm based in Los Angeles, specializing in employment law and personal injury law. The firm is growing very rapidly, and the right candidate in this position will have unique leadership opportunities and further opportunities for growth within the firm. We are seeking a dynamic and motivated Employment Law Associate to join the team.

Responsibilities:

  • Handle a caseload of employment law matters, primarily focusing on FEHA and whistleblower violations, including discrimination, harassment, retaliation, and wrongful termination cases.
  • Conduct thorough legal research and analysis to support your cases.
  • Draft legal documents, including complaints, motions, briefs, and settlement agreements.
  • Represent clients in administrative proceedings, negotiations, mediations, and court hearings.
  • Collaborate with the legal team to develop case strategies and provide guidance on legal matters.
  • Stay up to date with relevant employment laws, regulations, and legal precedents.

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Active member of the California State Bar in good standing.
  • 1 to 4 years of experience practicing employment law, with a focus on representing victims of FEHA violations.
  • Strong knowledge of California employment laws, regulations, and legal procedures.
  • Excellent research, writing, and communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to handle a caseload independently and meet deadlines.
  • Strong negotiation and advocacy skills.
  • Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills.
  • Ability to empathize with clients and provide compassionate legal representation.
