Compensation: Base salary of $120,000.00 – $200,000.00,% commission on collected fees (based on years of previous Employment Litigation experience), 15% referral fee on new clients. Estimated OTE of $240,000.00 – $400,000.00 (based on number of cases closed, and performance).

About you:

  • This sought-after position is designed for attorneys with 2 or more years of employment litigation experience who feel undervalued and overworked at their current firm. About the role:

  • Start with a case load of 20, and work your way up to managing 50 (mix of pre-lit and litigation). Managing these cases will come with a dedicated and excellent support staff, great technology, AI automating workflows, calendaring, weekly meetings created for you, etc.
  • Expect to settle roughly 24 cases a year with an average settlement at about the $250,000.00 mark.

Duties / Responsibilities:

  • Supervise a caseload exceeding 40 cases.
  • Develop case strategies to effectively navigate legal complexities.
  • Prepare pleadings, motions, and diverse legal documents.
  • Conduct and defend depositions meticulously.
  • Oversee the discovery process to ensure thoroughness.
  • Initiate and engage in settlement negotiations.
  • Maintain ongoing client communication, delivering regular case progress updates.
  • Provide guidance and supervision to legal support staff.

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • Candidates must possess a minimum of 2 years of experience in employment civil litigation.
  • Trial experience is not required, but desired.
  • Hold a Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school & maintain an active California bar membership in good standing.
  • Demonstrate a track record of effectively managing caseloads and achieving favorable case resolutions.
  • Exhibit strong legal research and analytical skills.
