Job Summary:
The Quality Inspector conducts mechanical and dimensional inspections using calipers, micrometers and various gauges in a manufacturing environment.
Responsibilities:
- Conducts Dimensional & Mechanical Inspections
- Oversees the satisfactory resolution of customer requirements on a variety of complex Quality Assurance issues
- Prepares and completes all necessary documentation for reporting acceptance/rejection of inspected and/or tested items
- Manages the Internal audits and corrective action follow ups
- Performs inspections on engineering designs, assemblies, piece parts, final assemblies and tooling
Qualifications:
- 2 – 5 years of mechanical inspection experience
- Experience with receiving, in process, final and/or first article inspection
- Experience using precision measurement tools- calipers, micrometers and gauges
- Experience working with engineering drawings, charts, diagrams, and sketches
- Aerospace manufacturing experience highly desired- AS9100
- Proficient computer skills
- Ability to identify and independently resolve a variety of complex Quality Assurance issues
- Any CMM operator experience a huge plus
