At HUB International, the MAI Business Partner manages, oversees, and is accountable for all aspects of technology integration projects to ensure completion on time and within budget. The MAI Business Partner is responsible for leading due diligence efforts to assess IT risk and understand integration scope and budget with acquisitions. In addition, the MAI Business prepares acquisition requirements for technology integration, acting as the main point of contact for the program, managing financials, and communicating status to senior leadership, tracking and mediating all escalations raised by the business.

Responsibilities:

  • Efficiently manage a portfolio of integration programs reporting status to senior regional leadership.
  • Facilitate and conduct Technology and Operations Acquisition Due Diligence.
  • Develop the integration budget including immediate cost impacts, transition and termination costs, future state spend and IT employee plans.
  • Through the acquisition due diligence process, assess the technology risks associated with the integration and perform initial infrastructure and business management system requirements gathering and analysis.
  • Coordinate multiple disciplinary team resources to identify the current state and ensure the information to develop the recommended future state integrated solution is accurate and well informed.
  • Build and maintain internal and external stakeholder relationships at all levels, collaborating with different areas across the organization to create a strong customer orientation.
  • Collaborate with the delivery Program Manager and integration team through identifying and mitigating risks, and escalating, and resolving of issues related to integration programs.
  • Ensure proper transition of closing acquisitions to the integration delivery team with robust current state diligence complete.
  • Contribute to the development and improvement of policies and procedures to standardize area operations, to position the organization delivering projects consistently on time and within budget.

Qualifications:

Education

  • 4-year degree in a technical or business field preferred
  • Masters degree a plus

Experience

  • Four to twelve years of experience in IT and business/industry,
  • Two to seven years of leadership responsibilities with experience in executive and customer service or delivery management
  • Demonstrated experience in leading large-scale projects, defining requirements and delivering results and meeting customer expectations.
  • Strong customer focus, communication and change management skills.
  • Experience managing systems implementation projects, including budgets and resources.
  • Experience with insurance industry is a required
  • Technical development, delivery and run experience is a plus, with familiarity and knowledge of data infrastructure, application conversion, networking infrastructure, and cybersecurity.

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Effective program management, able to efficiently manage timelines, resources, and financials for technology integration projects.
  • Possess and apply insurance and/or financial industry experience and understanding to better engage with stakeholders and produce strong deliverables for internal teams.
  • Possesses an entrepreneurial spirit and continuously innovates to achieve great results.

  • Follow processes but having the creativity to see areas of improvement or potential capability creating in the enterprise to support business operations. The Business Partner creates paths for business growth supported by technology.

  • Operations management knowledge, able to understand operations and all the components needed to run a business.
  • Act as the key point of contact for the assigned integration projects to promote effective and timely communication.
  • Passionate about delivering business value to business partners and end users.
  • Customer centric mindset that anticipates business needs and responds positively to feedback.
  • This position reports into Chicago and can be based anywhere in the U.S. (i.e., remote/virtual).
  • Travel is required, up to 50%

Role Level:

  • Role is intended for Manager or Senior Manager level, with potential for Director level as a promotion point. Seniority depends on scope, scale, complexity and volume of M&A Integration projects and programs the individual is capable of being assigned.

Disclosure required under applicable municipal regulations in NY and NJ, as well as the law in Colorado: The expected salary range for this position is $130,000 to $140,000 and will be impacted by factors such as the successful candidates skills, experience and working location, as well as the specific positions business line, scope and level.
