Floor Supervisor

As a Floor Supervisor, you will promote and grow the business, hire and train waitstaff, manage the flow of
operations, and ensure that patrons are receiving excellent service. The FOH Supervisor is a skilled communicator with excellent problem-solving, observation, and interpersonal skills. You should also be able to work with different personalities and diffuse tense situations while ensuring a great guest experience.
Overview of Responsibilities:
• Work under the direction of the restaurant’s General Manager and ownership to uphold the highest level of
service standards.
• Create a warm and hospitable environment for our guests and team
• Analyze the restaurant’s sales levels and profitability and create and implement strategic plans to achieve sales
goals
• Engage with all guests to establish a human connection and add to the service experience
• Perform personnel actions, such as hiring and terminating staff, providing employee orientation and
training, and conducting supervisory activities, such as creating work schedules or organizing employee
timesheets.
• Assist the General Manager by preparing policies and standard operating procedures; implementing
production, productivity, quality, and patron-service standards; determining and implementing system
improvements.
• Formulate work schedules on a weekly or monthly basis and outline each staff member’s work duties
• Engage customers with positive dialogue to ensure return business and resolve any complaints from them
• Assist the management team in developing and implementing core business and marketing plans
• Implement marketing strategies to maximize restaurant revenues
• Perform restaurant opening and closing activities and organize management of repair and maintenance
issues
• Make certain that all COVID, fire, safety, and health regulations & protocols regarding food preparation
and serving is adhered to constantly
• Ensure that restaurant service and quality standards are constantly met

Required Skills/Qualifications:
• Minimum of 2-3 years of experience as a floor supervisor in a high volume, full-service restaurant or bar
• Demonstrates proven ability to review financial planning and strategy, cost accounting, reading budgets,
decision making, process improvement, management proficiency, customer focus, and quality focus.
• Impeccable Service Standards, clean work habits with great attention to detail.
• Demonstrates sound oral and written communication skills and sound interpersonal skills.
• Competency in computer skills with adequate knowledge of Microsoft Office and Outlook were relevant to
the position.
• Demonstrates proven ability to lead staff and positively influence employee morale and behavior.
• Leads with humility, empathy, integrity, and respect for all.
