F uture T echnologies (FT) The Future Technologies R&D Group explores the intersection of computing and other rapidly advancing disciplines to enable a new generation of smart products and services at the edge . We have backgrounds in human computer interaction, material science, neuroscience, biology, chemistry, computer science and artificial intelligence, electrical engineering, and other disciplines. Our research focuses on creating smart and sustainable environments, new advanced manufacturing techniques, neurorobotics and other applications of neuromorphic computing , energy harvesting and storage and biotechnology and biocomputing. Special Projects Office – The Special Projects Office coordinates discrete workstreams that leverage expertise from across Accentures Technology Innovation organization to support the larger TI strategy. SPO differs from Labs groups – we dont do strict R&D, but we do run collaborative projects that pull in expertise from Labs as well as other groups within Technology Innovation. One of our ongoing workstreams is a knowledge graph-based project, designed to integrate and discover connections between data stored in disparate locations and formats. For this co-op cycle, we are looking for a graduate level student with experience in front-end design and implementation and overall user experience knowledge to build out the user interface for this system. Prior experience with knowledge graphs is a plus. All majors will be considered with requisite experience, although computer science, digital media or related courses of study are preferred. React experience is required; python experience is preferred. SPO-specific location note: we allow remote work, but we do request that applicants be within the US Eastern time zone. Applicants living in cities with Accenture offices may work from the local office if preferred.

Basic Q ualifications + Currently enrolled Masters Degree in Computer Science, Technology, Engineering, Social Sciences, or similar scientific area at Drexel University + 1 + years of experience in an area relevant to Accenture Innovation Technology research foci including, but not limited to, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Material Science, Human-Computer Interaction

Preferred Qualifications + Currently enrolled in PhD in Computer Science, Technology, Engineering, Social Sciences, or similar scientific area at Drexel University + Interest in new emerging technologies, human-computer interaction, security, software systems and infrastructure or AI and a drive for working on applied R&D projects or on technology thought leadership that may be client focused. + Strong work ethic, solid technical aptitude in area of study, excellent communication skills, attention to detail and experience working on a team.

The co-op internship program will be a 3 – 6 month program. Participation in the Technology Innovation co-op program requires that you are physically located in the United States for the duration of the internship.
