Production Shift Supervisor

Ready to be part of a team with purpose? Look no further, we are hiring for a talented Production Shift Supervisor to join our Kindeva team in Northridge.
The indiviual will supervise and manage all functions involved in the production of Kindeva products in a safe and economic fashion. Responsible for direct supervision, training, safety performance, product quality, cost control, employee communications, employee moral and productivity.

Reponsibilites:
• Guides activities and personnel in order to achieve quality production, on schedule and at the lowest possible cost.
• Provide direct supervision to production and/or hourly employees such as operators and technicians, etc. with responsibility in one or more process operations (technology area) such as packaging, formulation and filling, etc.
• Cultivates and leads a team environment for employees by encouraging and implementing cross training programs, cooperation, innovation, flexibility and teamwork aligning with the Kindeva PRECISE values
• Schedules production, determines priorities, allocates work assignments, communicates expectations and monitors workflow.
• Conducts performance evaluations and feedback to employees.
• Utilizes corrective action to resolve conflict and inappropriate behaviors.
• Trains employees on all aspects of the manufacturing processes and operations.
• Provides employees with proper tools, equipment and information including any changes that may affect their work.
• Ensures a safe work environment by reviewing production standards, OSHA requirements, and recognizing and resolving safety-related problems.
• Ensure employees receive training as specified.
• Provides effective communication to employees through crew meetings, e-mail, etc.
• Completes housekeeping audit and job safety analysis on a regular basis.
• Participates in the site emergency squad activities.
• Organizes and implements cost reduction programs to ensure efficient utilization of labor, materials, and equipment.
• Utilizes available resources to resolve process, maintenance, equipment and/or related technical problems.
• Oversees changeovers to achieve maximum efficiency.
• Analyzes and interprets statistical data and charts to identify trends and determine improvement plans.
• Communicate and follow-up on quality concerns and process/operational changes with appropriate staff.
Requirements:
• Minimum five (5) years of manufacturing experience or a Bachelor degree with two (2) years of experience
• Problem solving, computer, administrative, and short-term planning skills are required to perform the duties in this position.
• Great communication and organizational skills
• Demonstrated leadership skills
• Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot, identify, and resolve non-routine problems with highly complex and technical equipment. Adapts different techniques to deal with variations in conditions.
• Regularly demonstrates the ability to work independently on highly complex assignments.
