Gingergrass Minimart is seeking a daytime Line Cook, you will be an essential part of our culinary team, responsible for prepping and cooking dishes. Your main responsibilities will include:
- Preparing ingredients and cooking various dishes according to the recipes provided.
- Maintaining a clean and organized work area, ensuring food safety and sanitation guidelines are followed.
- Collaborating with the kitchen team to ensure timely preparation and delivery of orders.
- Monitoring food inventory and communicating with the management to restock ingredients as needed.
- Assisting with the development of new menu items and suggesting improvements to existing recipes.
Requirements:
- Previous experience as a Line Cook or similar role in a culinary setting.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Flexibility to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, including weekends and evenings.
Additional Skills (Preferred but not required):
- Knowledge of Southeast Asian cuisine and familiarity with its traditional cooking techniques and ingredients.
- Familiarity with bodega operations and knowledge of specialty ingredients from the region.
- Creativity in presenting and garnishing dishes to enhance their visual appeal.
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices.
