General Manager

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Ramen Restaurant Manager to join our team and oversee the back of house operations and FOH service at our well-known ramen restaurant. If you have a passion for authentic ramen and a strong background in kitchen management, we want to hear from you!

Responsibilities:

  • Manage and coordinate all aspects of the back of house operations, including food preparation, cooking, and plating.
  • Ensure adherence to recipes, portion sizes, and quality standards to deliver consistent and delicious ramen bowls.
  • Oversee inventory management, ingredient sourcing, and vendor relationships to maintain the highest quality of ingredients.
  • Train, mentor, and supervise kitchen staff, ensuring proper techniques, safety practices, and sanitation standards are followed.
  • Create and update menus, considering seasonal ingredients and customer preferences, while maintaining profitability.
  • Collaborate with the front of house team to ensure smooth communication and efficient service flow.
  • Manage kitchen schedules, payroll, and other administrative tasks.
  • Handle any unexpected challenges or issues that may arise during service with composure and effective problem-solving.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Restaurant Manager, preferably in a ramen restaurant or similar culinary establishment.
  • Strong culinary background with expertise in ramen preparation and a deep understanding of various ramen styles, noodles, broths, and toppings.
  • Excellent knowledge of kitchen operations, food safety standards, and sanitation practices.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to train, motivate, and manage a diverse kitchen team.
  • Exceptional organizational and time management skills to ensure smooth kitchen operations during peak hours.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment and make effective decisions under stress.
  • Attention to detail in food presentation, portion control, and maintaining consistency in flavors.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with both kitchen and front of house staff.
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
