The Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) team is seeking a Space, Intelligence and Weapons Systems Production Engineer (Associate, Experienced or Lead) located in El Segundo, CA/Kennedy Space Center, FL/Seal Beach, CA OR Kent, WA.

Position Responsibilities Include:

  • Assists in the development and implementation of production and tooling methodologies.

  • Participates as a member of an Integrated Product Team (IPT) in the integration of technical solutions. Works with others to develop, identify and implement conceptual designs and maintenance of the program architecture for build.

  • Assists in implementing manufacturing plans.

  • Resolves technical problems and assists in the implementation of new engineering principles, theories, advanced technologies and concepts.

  • Assists in the implementation of Lean principles and technologies.

  • Interfaces with professional associations, suppliers, IPTs and internal customers to develop products, skills, knowledge and experience.

Our teams are currently hiring for a broad range of experience levels including; Associate, Experienced or Lead Space, Intelligence and Weapons Systems Production Engineer.

This position is expected to be 100% onsite.  The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.

This position requires an active Top Secret or Top Secret SCI or Q Clearance U.S. Security Clearance or Tier 5 (T5), formerly known as a Single Scope Background Investigation (SSBI). (A U.S. Security Clearance that has been active in the past 24 months is considered active, Tier 5 U.S. Citizenship required or requires candidate agreed to enter a Continuous Evaluation program.)

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelor’s, Master’s or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry.

  • Top Secret/Top Secret SCI/Q Clearance U.S. Security Clearance/ Tier 5 (SSBI).

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • 3 or more years’ related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • 5 or more years’ related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Experience within Production Engineering or Production Operations.

  • Experience working with space programs and/or aerospace programs

  • Professional communication skills with aptitude or experience creating and presenting technical presentations to various groups of people

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.

Typical Education/Experience:

Associate (Level 2):

Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 2 or more years’ related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. Master). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.

Experienced (Level 3):

Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 5 or more years’ related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD, Master+3 years’ related work experience). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.

Lead (Level 4):

Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 9 or more years’ related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD+4 years’ related work experience, Master+7 years’ related work experience). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard

Relocation:

This position offers relocation based on candidate eligibility. Basic relocation is available for internal candidates based on candidate eligibility.

Summary pay range (Associate/Level 2): $75,650 – $109,250

Summary pay range (Experienced/Level 3): $90,100 – $129,950

Summary pay range (Lead/Level 4): $109,650– $158,700
