Media Planner and Buyer

We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic individual to join the fun Media Team in our Marketing Department. You’ll be planning omnichannel media strategies (Out-of-Home, TV, Radio, Digital, and more) for our brands, working closely with the brand team, design team, 3rd party media partners, and of course, your fellow media team. We need someone who has a strategic and analytical thought process and also likes to have their voices heard in the creative process.

This is a full-time, in-house position. You must have reliable transportation. You will report to the Senior Media Strategist and the Media Director.

Responsibilities (include, but are not limited to)

  • Develop media (advertising) strategies and plans for campaigns: out-of-home, TV, radio, digital, and more
  • Allocate appropriate budget for media strategies, and for each platform
  • Request and negotiate proposals with media partners and vendors to ensure the most cost-efficient deals
  • Coordinate development and delivery of creative assets, working with in-house graphic designers and 3rd party vendors as needed
  • Develop photoshoot and commercial creative needs as needed; be present on-set for production day to ensure exact content needed is captured
  • Ensure deliverables are with media partners in a timely manner
  • Monitor campaign progress, optimizing to continue to improve efficiency, as needed
  • Share campaign completion reports and suggest any changes for future campaigns that could further improve the campaign performance
  • Maintain calendars and schedules of active and upcoming seasonal campaigns and changes
  • Build and maintain relationships with 3rd party vendors and partners
  • Research and analyze audience demographics and psychographics to define audiences for campaigns, as needed
  • Research and vet new advertising outlets; monitor audience and media trends, practices, and new technologies
  • Occasional market rides and visits to assess out-of-home advertising opportunities
  • Occasional data entry and coding invoices
  • Monitor budget and spend

Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years in marketing, ideally in media strategy or digital marketing
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Capable of working independently and collaboratively
  • Extremely organized and able to juggle multiple projects
  • Able to self-prioritize projects but still ensure timely completion
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel
  • Able to hold accountability
  • Proactiveness – will see projects and campaigns through to completion
