VP Social-Think Jam
Think Jam is a global marketing agency for the world’s best entertainment studios and leading storytellers. We pride ourselves on a 20-year legacy at the frontlines of the most impactful franchises and fandoms and this can be seen across our work with Warner Brothers, Amazon Studios, TikTok, Disney, Sony Pictures and more. We are growing at a rapid pace and are looking for a strategic social leader to join our senior team and build on our work of delivering a world-class service to entertainment studios.
You’ll be a strategic and creative thinker, with hands-on experience leading social teams and implementing exceptional strategies, plans and campaigns that cut through, earn attention and win the hearts and minds of fans and consumers. The right person will balance the innovation and experimentation needed to crack new platforms and shifting trends, alongside the tried and true practices of building healthy communities and audiences with industry-leading content and laser-sharp strategy.
You will help to continue to position Think Jam as an industry leader in the franchise and fandom space on social. You will play an instrumental role in shaping the tone, experience and conversation for the world’s most loved properties, taking risks and becoming an instrumental voice in the daily practice of building audiences and hacking social. You’ll live and breathe trends, whether that be memes, elevated content or new platforms, and see where and when the right moment is for each of the incredible properties we manage to cut through.
ABOUT YOU
- You will be social-savvy and live for the ever-changing trends, culture and conversation of social
- You will have an exceptional understanding of platforms new and old, including creator culture and how each platform plays its unique role through a strategic lens
- You will have existing relationships with the major social platforms and/or have worked with one of them
- You have a strategic mindset and a track record of clearly articulating how to execute that strategy, as well as experience leading a team (and/or client) through that process
- You love creating culture-shifting, trend-making and conversation-starting work
- You are passionate about the entertainment industry and will have a body of work that can speak to how you entertain audiences on social
- You are both experienced and can speak with clarity when it comes to dissecting social data and making sense of both historical and trending data to inform plans and daily decisions
- While this isn’t a “paid social” specific role, experience and deep knowledge of paid social will be hugely beneficial and considered
ABOUT THE ROLE
- The most senior leader in the agency in regard to social, leading and consulting our clients on how to build, retain and grow audiences across a plethora of platforms
- Network at a high level with potential and current contacts at all major and emerging platforms
- Pitch and win new work, alongside other VPs in the agency, to run social across franchises, fandoms and standalone films
- Lead a global team across all countries, showing leadership across social strategy, community management, social content, account growth, paid social and talent social
- Oversee talent social accounts within the agency, advising clients and major talent on how to use, grow and benefit from social platforms and activity
- Join the senior management team of the agency, ensuring we are innovating, learning and winning awards for our work in social with a healthy and thriving team of globally-minded social experts
