Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) – Float Team

Job Description CareOnSite, a division of Tang & Company which provides occupational medical services nationwide, has an excellent Full-Time opportunity for a highly motivated Licensed Vocational Nurse (Floater) with at least 2 years clinical experience and with strong administrative skill, excellent computer and Microsoft Office application skills to be assigned to the medical department in a client-site location. This position will manage the first aid station with minimal supervision, will coordinate on-site clinic services and report to the nursing supervisor, as well as the Clinical Medical Director and Operations Manager to identify and resolve problems. Training on all aspects of an occupational health service facility, if applicable, such as, respiratory, hearing conservation, and other surveillance physical exam programs, and drug and alcohol testing/collection programs will be provided. Home-base Long Beach, CA Travel Distance: Chatsworth, CA up to San Bernardino, CA Extended Travel to Northern CA Extended travel to various sites out of state (state license will not be required out of state) Pay Rate: $28 – $32 / hr Responsibilities: Travel to various job assignments Disability Management – i.e. supporting TPA to manage disability cases, fitness for duty exams and functional capacity evaluations, assist employee’s return to work after an illness or injury Support local absence control programs and act as resource to employees and local management Work with local HR and supervisors with the Disability Management Program Support Occupational Physician with FFD process Support PA/NP at site with Injury Management and Illness programs Travel to various job assignments Job Requirements Current Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) licensed with the State of California Certification from an accredited school 1 year of experience (Preferred) Ability to travel on short notice for an extended period of time Current Basic Life Support Card (CPR/AED) from American Heart Association IV Blood Draw Certification and current experience or completion of refresher course Successful completion of skills assessment test Knowledge of OSHA regulations and Worker’s Compensation claims handling (Preferred) Occupational Medical Health experience (Preferred) Experience in injury/illness case management (Preferred) Current CAOHC Audiometry Screening certification or ability to obtain certification within three (3) months of employment Current NIOSH Spirometry Screening certification or ability to obtain certification within three (3) months of employment Current TWIC card or ability to obtain a TWIC card in one (1) month from hire date Must be able to drive on behalf of the company Must have an active CA Drivers License
