Job Description OVERVIEW Concept Arts was founded in 1972 in Los Angeles to service entertainment. This has included properties like The Matrix, Jurassic World Dominion, Elvis, Top Gun Maverick, and many more. The Brand Division was founded three years ago to translate our 50 years of entertainment experience into a unique value proposition for brands. With a growing roster of brand clients, we are looking for a highly motivated Account Director with brand experience who embodies the can-do, creative spirit of Concept Arts to accelerate our growth and excellence. This role will be the second in command to the VP of the Brand team and will have the opportunity for significant leadership and growth. JOB DESCRIPTION The Account Director is an up-and-coming strategic business and marketing leader who owns the day-to-day client relationships for multiple clients with vision and foresight. Operating as the north star for a given client or workstream, the Account Director has an intimate understanding of both agency and client goals and knows how to bridge them for mutual success. This role will need to see the big picture, be able to get things done, with attention to detail, and ultimately wants to be at Concept Arts to build for the future. In addition to fostering strong client relationships, the Account Director will bring their experience with brands to help lead a team responsible for driving organic business, operating margins, and for meeting the goals of the designated accounts and teams. This includes overall client success, excellence of deliverables, quality of service, and on-time, on-budget completion of the agency’s services. This role will also be responsible for managing and for the career development of an Account Manager, as well as inspiring a matrix team across strategy, creative, production, and project management. WHAT SUCCESS LOOKS LIKE: After 30 days: following participating in onboarding, start to take the lead on day-to-day decision-making, running client meetings, and help leading the team internally. After 90 days: day-to-day ownership of multiple workstreams and/or accounts, relationships forged with each client, a finger on the pulse of workstreams the nuances of each relationship, running a majority of client meetings, and wins on the board. SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES / ACCOUNTABILITIES: Work autonomously to foster, manage and grow existing client relationships by providing exceptional client service and delivering great work for our clients. Own day-to-day decision making, and knows when to uplevel to VP for guidance. Drive overall project management with support of an Account Manager and/or Project Manager to ensure deliverables are produced on time, on budget, and to the client’s specifications. Implement an account planning process for all accounts. Work closely with Creative and Strategy teams to define account strategies and translate these strategies into tactical implementations that is on-strategy and on-brand for clients Work with VP to address new business opportunities, including upselling and growing current accounts, pitching, and presenting capabilities. Serve as the primary point of contact with the client across projects. Review all presentations over the course of the exploration to ensure all client notes and concerns have been addressed. Ensure client satisfaction and profitability by working with clients to understand their business needs and industry landscape. Investigate and mitigate client concerns and work to resolve them with the appropriate cross-functional leads. Independently manage budgets and billing: ○ Client negotiations, hard costs against jobs ○ Maintain current billing; track and record regularly. ○ Draft SOWs and estimates Review account plans with leadership, and client team members, consistently Manage and inspire the team to deliver for client needs and company goals. SKILLS REQUIRED: 6-8 years of professional and relevant agency account management experience and new business exposure, with a focus on brands 2 years of proven track record in developing senior-level client relationships Demonstrated track record of client growth Proven experience in team management and development Able to work with a broad spectrum of people – senior to junior level, multiple mindsets Ability to persuasively own a room or a zoom in a presentation setting Superior written and verbal communication skills; demonstrated ability to effectively multitask, delegate and accurately evaluate others work Strong project management skills Strong proficiencies in Google Suite: Sheets, Slides, Calendar, etc. Ability to manage multiple client levels and navigate different client agendas Approaches challenges with an assumption of positive intent Possess a mix of agency-side and client-side experience preferred Lives in or is willing to relocate to Los Angeles The salary band for this role is $100,000-$140,000.
