We have an open position for a Electrical Design Engineer at our offices in Irvine or Long Beach, CA – you could be a perfect fit. If you meet the qualifications below, we encourage you to apply today.
General Responsibilities
Pre-Design Engineering
Review existing as-built drawings.
Perform field investigations.
Set up drawings and models for multiple disciplines.
Collaborate with team members regarding design coordination, schedules, and deliverables.
Perform feasibility studies.
Prepare schematic designs.
Design Engineering
Perform energy calculations using EnergyPro or IES VE.
Develop single-line diagrams and load schedules.
Design lighting selection and controls.
Design normal, emergency, and renewable power systems.
Perform Arc Flash, Short Circuit, and Coordination Power System Studies.
Experience with low voltage building systems (Fire Alarm, Security, Voice/Data, Nurse Call) systems a plus
Position Requirements
Bachelors Degree in Electrical Engineering or related Engineering Field
Ability to clearly communicate via any media and in-person
Engineer-In-Training (EIT) Certification a plus
LEED Accreditation a plus
Working Knowledge
Microsoft Office Suite
AutoCAD
Revit
National Electrical Code
Net Zero Energy/Carbon experience a plus
