*Job Description for Driver Position*
*Daily Responsibilities:*
* As dictated by incoming shipments and schedules, pick up and deliver products with various vendors/customers and at airports/airlines. Experience with verifying and picking up case counts and/or pallets at shipment and warehouse locations
Upon making deliveries, the driver must complete and sign Packing Lists – and be able to note the number of pallets in and out for every customer/client.Responsible for obtaining documentation signatures in accordance with HACCP requirements for dated/timed records.Ability to offload products from the truck and stage on the dock for the receiving team to confirm details about case counts and matching paperwork following receiving protocols
* Follow prescribed routes and time schedules to ensure arrival at established times. Is responsible for notifying management of delivery stops and/or reasons for any changes.Report to the Supervisor/Manager of the division any issues about the refusal of pallets and pallet charges.
Ability to advise and inform customers of pallet charges on an as-needed basis.Follow DOT regulations and safety standards, as well as company policies and procedures
* The driver is to complete the “Vehicle Inspection Form” daily before departing the warehouseIn a timely fashion, must advise the management of any potential maintenance issues with company trucks/property.
Will be responsible for cleaning the company vehicle as needed daily, and adhering to the company no smoking policy while in the company vehicle.*Requirements:*
* High level of professionalism with vendors and customers. Must possess honesty and integrity.
* Excellent communication skills and customer care
* Must be punctual and maintain excellent attendance
* Willingness to adhere to all Personal Protection Equipment (PPE) requirements
* Ability to lift and move items up to 35 lbs
* Ability to problem solve and work in a fast-paced environment
* Valid Driver’s License – Class C and clean driving record
* Previous seafood experience is a plus
*Additional Details/Information*:
* Fluent in English, Spanish is a plus
* Required work authorization: United States
* Must be able to show proof of Covid vaccination
* Part-time hours (Sunday mandatory 6:00 PM-3:00 AM) with possible shifts to pick up on Saturdays
