About the Role In FTI Consulting’s Corporate Finance & Restructuring segment we focus on our clients’ strategic, operational, financial and capital needs by addressing the full spectrum of financial and transactional challenges faced by corporations, boards, private equity sponsors, creditor constituencies and other stakeholders. What You’ll Do Responsible for day-to-day activities of project including interaction with top restructuring experts in the industry, legal and finance professionals from other firms and senior client management. May include supervision of client personnel and supervise and guide consultants. Apply business, accounting, finance and diagnostic skills to various client situations and practice disciplines. Prepare complex financial projections and worksheets to model business processes and/or actual or hypothetical transactions. Develop and assessed business plans, conduct due diligence and analyze large amounts of data associated with restructuring plans. Draft written reports and/or presentations for third parties, as necessary, on the project scope, findings and/or results of activities. Understand all aspects of the client’s business including review of ongoing operations and perform actual vs. budget variance reporting on cash flow results. Work with the client’s senior management, legal counsel and investment bankers for the sale and disposition of the business, non-core operations, real estate or other assets. This role requires travel to clients and FTI offices How You’ll Grow This is an excellent opportunity for a person with proven, hands-on corporate finance experience who wants to provide analytical services to debtors, creditors and other stakeholders of companies experiencing unfavorable situations arising from liquidity problems. Basic Qualifications/Qualifications & Experience Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Economics, or Finance. 3 years in Public Accounting, Consulting, or other Professional Services environment. Proficient use and analysis of computer models and development of dynamic spreadsheet applications. Familiarity with Internet-based financial research resources for corporate information, SEC filings, competitive data, etc. Ability to travel up to 80%.
