Job Details

  • Provides Direct Instructional Services in speech and language as written in special education programs
  • Provide hourly Speech and Language Services for both school and non-school clients
  • Implement Speech and Language goals and objectives for each assigned student
  • Perform screening evaluations on students that may need Speech and Language services including hearing
  • Evaluate and write Speech and Language goals and objectives as needed for reviews
  • Attend Individualized Education Program reviews annually for assigned students
  • Attend all staff, training, and team meetings
  • Attend weekly supervision as scheduled
  • Partner and work with parents, administrators, classroom teacher, social worker, and others to ensure understanding of student’s speech and language deficits and therapy program
  • Parent conferences as necessary
  • Work with parents to accept and develop skills in dealing with student’s speech/language learning
  • Participate in community outreach including speaking on related topics, visiting preschool and other community programs, and making appropriate referrals when necessary.
  • Assist the Director of Clinical Services in developing and implementing new speech and language programs
