About the role:

Join us as a EDS Engagement Service Lead in our Kendall Square, MA office where you will work as the Key Point of Contact / Engagement Lead for all Enterprise Data Services/solutions portfolio; including management of functional objectives/roadmaps, major projects, quarterly functional release-based activity and ongoing run activities As part of the Enterprise Data team, you will partnership with the EDS Transformation and Delivery Lead, architect the strategic roadmap for EDS at the functional level, ensuring that supporting teams and capabilities are on track to deliver to commitments and priorities. As part of the Enterprise Data Services, you will report to the Service Delivery & Operations Lead, Enterprise Data.
How you will contribute:
- Architect a regional/domain focused data-services strategy that connects goals and the EDS data-services operating model with scalable and reusable solutions leading to measurable benefits.
- Accountable as the primary contact between functional IT and business IT partners using the EDS data-services catalog (bi-directional). Focus on the technology and being a technology leader between teams
- Directly leading the engagement for the group team members, DD&T leads and extended teams into the EDS organization, applying input from the USA to ensure agreement and consistency.
- Lead agreement between EDS, business IT and IT partners on a basis linked to priorities/roadmaps, data-services capabilities, people, process, technology and data.
- Communicate and evangelize the Takeda Data & Digital imperatives as a key driver for continuous transformation linked to the vision and strategy of the DD&T/GDT/ EDS to become the most trusted, data-driven and outcomes-based pharmaceutical company
- Drive and lead governance sessions to ensure the Services & Operations, Platforms Architecture and Data Services and Analytics teams are managing and coordinating services delivery in an efficient and value-driven way to support building business / business IT engagement and delivery
- Oversee finances linked to domain-based services are tracked and reported across all EDS functions, with the strategic imperative to meet EDS and business financial objectives within the consumption-based pricing model are met
- Lead and active member of the EDS Engagement cross-functional peer-led community/team
- Lead/Support domain based / cross-domain communities of practice (people / process / technology / data) with a view to increasing adoption and driving business value
- Mentor and lead on developing the team culture and people to ensure a highly motivated and effective team is both in place today, and developing in a sustainable way for the future
DIMENSIONS AND ASPECTS
Technical/Functional (Line) Expertise (Breadth and depth of knowledge, application and complexity of technical knowledge)
- 3-5+ years hands-on functional / technical / architecture level experience linked to data-services and data-platforms within the pharmaceutical business
- Expertise in the delivery of data services solutions and products linked to Commercial domain
- Experience / Knowledge linked to Data / AWS / API / Cloud / Analytics capabilities and functionality
- Experience in the Pharmaceutical business model and baseline reporting requirements and processes
- Leadership expertise linked to data-services (Vision, strategy and business alignment, people management, communication, influencing others, managing change)
- Experience leading agile teams leveraging scrum methodology.

- This role will be focused on enabling concepts linked to ‘reuse’ and ‘scalability’ across data services solutions and engaging innovative partnerships and ideas to deliver creative.
Complexity (Products managed, mix of businesses, internal and/or external business environment, cultural considerations)
- The Commercial EDPP Engagement Lead will be directly involved in the complexity linked to enabling business value via Data Services. This requires an acute awareness linked to the cross-functional environment, team dynamics, finances and cultural fit
- Data Services Engagement linked to:
- Baseline operational and strategic reporting
- Advanced Analytics / Data Services Requirements
- Self-Service, Data Ingestion, Vendor Engagement, API Universe, Enterprise Architecture
- Complex Commercial requirements – with all associated GxP / GMP and SOD/SoX/GDPR compliance included (full life cycle)
- Build of near-shore and hub-based delivery model will be in flight alongside as this role develops which will provide an excellent opportunity to build sustainable capabilities
- Experience with franchise-based life-sciences organization with full life-cycle OTC and non-OTC pharmaceutical products
- New technical architecture/tools within CTO/EDPP and Global IT functions requires complete build out of supporting governance framework and processes
EDUCATION, BEHAVIOURAL COMPETENCIES AND SKILLS:
Minimum Requirements/Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in a related or directly relevant field
- 7 years of experience with Data Services products.
- Related experience with Cloud Technology, Mobile Solutions, SAP technologies.
- Experience in setting Data Services / Solutions strategies and vision.
- Experience in life sciences / pharmaceutical industry environment.
