Amentum is recruiting Senior Marine Engineers, Senior Engineers
– U.S.

Coast Guard (USCG) Credentialed, Senior Engineers (Marine) with Professional Registration, Senior Automation Engineers (Marine), and Lead Marine Engineers.

The Engineers will be responsible for supporting various aspects of ship design and construction related to engineering, technical support, logistics and programmatic functions related to the design, repair, maintenance and modernization of naval vessels built to US Navy and Commercial Standards.

Minimum Requirements: Senior Marine Engineer: Active secret clearance BS degree in mechanical or marine engineering, or similar Fifteen (15) years in the marine industry Three (3) years of Port Engineer experience overseeing ship new construction, or maintenance and repair Five (5) years experiencing sailing on U.S.

Coast Guard (USCG) Chief Engineer license Must have held a USCG Merchant Marine Chief Engineer of Steam/Motor/Gas Turbine, Unlimited Horsepower Credential and be able to produce proof of same Senior Engineer
– U.S.

Coast Guard (USCG) Credentialed: Active secret clearance BS mechanical or marine engineering, naval architecture or similar Eight (8) years of ship-related design experience after earning a BS degree Experience in commercial ship operations with an emphasis on material readiness and maintenance studies, reliability engineering and technical data review Individual must have held a USCG Merchant Marine First Assistant Engineer of Steam/Motor/Gas Turbine, Unlimited Horsepower, or higher Credential and be able to produce proof of same Senior Engineer (Marine)
– Professional Registration: Active secret clearance BS mechanical or marine engineering, naval architecture or similar Eight (8) years of ship-related design experience after earning a BS degree Experience in commercial ship operations with an emphasis on material readiness and maintenance studies, reliability engineering and technical data review Individual must hold a Professional Engineer license in one or more U.S.

states and be able to produce proof of same OR Individual must have held a USCG Merchant Marine First Assistant Engineer of Steam/Motor/Gas Turbine, Unlimited Horsepower, or higher Credential and be able to produce proof of same Senior Automation Engineer (Marine): Active secret clearance BS mechanical or marine engineering or similar Two (2) years’ experience in operation, maintenance or design of shipboard automation control systems Experience in the development of Failure Modes Effects Analysis and Periodic Safety Test Procedures (PSTP) for U.S.

Coast Guard (USCG) approval Five (5) years experiencing sailing on USCG Chief Engineer license Individual must have held a USCG Merchant Marine Chief Engineer of Steam/Motor/Gas Turbine, Unlimited Horsepower Credential and be able to produce proof of same Lead Marine Engineer: Active secret clearance BS marine engineering or similar Eight (8) years’ experience in marine propulsion and auxiliary systems to include propulsion system shafting, reduction gears, bearings, hydraulic systems, piping/pumping systems, Heating Ventilation and Air Conditioning (HVAC) and Propulsion Engines (Diesel, Gas Turbine and Steam Turbine) Familiar with the development of work items, drawings, analysis, cost estimates, and technical reports for ship repair or related projects Individual must hold a Professional Engineer license in one or more U.S.

states and be able to produce proof of same OR Individual must have held a U.S.
