Our team of engineers take pride in what they develop and constantly innovate to provide the best solution. is looking for a Software Engineer to design, develop and implement complicated and difficult software capabilities for computer based systems. Will work with other talented engineers with modern tools and technologies. Most of the work can be done from home, but must be able to visit customers on-site in Washington, DC on occasion (subject to change). Will work with a strong team of talented, highly technical engineers.

- Must also possess strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to work under pressure with multiple deadlines.

Requirements
Security Clearance:
- Must currently hold a Secret or Top Secret U.S. Government security clearance therefore all candidates must be a U.S. citizen.
Required Skills:
- 5 years experience in Software Engineering, Modern Java Frameworks and Libraries (e.g. Spring, Guava) Bachelors in related field; 3 years relevant experience with Masters in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 9 years relevant experience.
- Experience in designing enterprise APIs
- Experience in RESTful web services
- Experience in Microservices architecture
- Experience in Object Oriented Programming (OOP) paradigms
- Experience with the agile software lifecycle
- Has a proven ability to learn quickly and works well both independently as well as in a team setting
- Experience with the Linux operating system
- Experience with configuration management tools (e.g. Git, Nexus, Maven)
- Must be able to work in a hybrid environment with the majority of the work conducted at home. Must be able to visit customers on-site in Washington, DC when needed (subject to change).
Desired Skills:
- Experience in cloud based technologies (AWS, Azure)
- Experience in distributed databases, NoSQL databases, full text-search engines (e.g. Elasticsearch, MongoDB, Solr)
- Scripting experience is a huge plus.
- Prior experience or familiarity with our Big Data Platform is a plus.
- Understanding of AGILE software development methodologies and use of standard software development tool suites. (e.g., JIRA, Confluence, Github Enterprise, etc.)
