Overview: The Anesthesia Aide assists licensed anesthesia providers in the acquisition, preparation, and application of the equipment and supplies required for the administration of anesthesia.
Provide support and for routine and complex surgical cases.
Prepare and maintain patient monitoring devices and anesthesia delivery systems before, during, and after anesthesia.
The person in this position works under general supervision, is responsible for various shifts, may be subject to over 40 hours per week and/or callback as required, and may also be required to remain on campus immediately before, during, and after severe weather and/or disasters.
Qualifications: High School Diploma or General Education Degree or the appropriate required education for an LPN, Paramedic, Surgical Technician, or Perioperative Blood Management Technician Must have a Current Florida License in the State of Florida if an LPN or Paramedic OR have Certified Perioperative Blood Management technician if applicable.BLS through American Heart Association Ability to read, write, speak, and comprehend English to successfully use electronic monitoring equipment.Must be able to return to the hospital/facility within 30 minutes of a Callback.
