ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The full-time position will be responsible for ensuring all data related to GMR clients’ repertory meets established quality guidelines. This role will use internal and external systems to resolves copyright data within the GMR repertory and report directly to Global Music Rights’ Director of Copyright.
Key responsibilities include:
- Perform research and update work records based on information from various authoritative sources. Sources may include publisher registrations, member representative inquiries, and society portals.
- Reviewing and preparing song composition data for removal from prior performance rights organizations (PROs). This will require contact with publishers, administrators and PROs to confirm resignation dates and works to be removed.
- Provide support and analysis to the department by participating in ad hoc projects and meetings in addition to daily tasks which include generating reports, analyzing processes and work flows, and training new team members.
REQUIREMENTS
- 1+ years administrative experience (experience in music publishing a plus)
- Bachelor’s Degree in business, music industry or related field
- Detail-oriented with strong administration and communication (both written and verbal skills)
- Ability to prioritize multiple projects, to work independently and as a part of a team
- Strong attention to detail and highly organized.
- Experience working with a relational databases
- Proficiency in basic computer skills (Microsoft Office [Teams, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook], Trello)
- Strong enthusiasm for music
